The world has a structural growth problem
On the sidelines of the Milken Institute’s Asia Summit 2019, Michael Sabia, President and Chief Executive Officer, gave an interview to Oriel Morrison of CNBC. He shared his perspective on the global economy, which is facing a structural growth problem. To address this, policymakers need to adopt a more concerted approach to investing in infrastructure and education rather than using monetary policy.
Mr. Sabia also discussed CDPQ’s approach to stewardship investing. He explains how climate change should not be seen as a constraint, but as an opportunity to generate good returns while contributing to the necessary transition toward a low-carbon economy.
