Sarah-Émilie Bouchard was appointed Executive Vice-President, Global Strategy, Governmental Affairs and Chief of Staff in 2023. She is responsible for CDPQ’s global strategic planning and for all relationships between the organization and the executive level of the Québec government. Since 2020, she has also served as Chief of Staff, Office of the President and CEO, serving as an advisor on various files. She sits on the Executive Committee.
Ms. Bouchard joined the organization in 2011, holding various roles in the Public Affairs team, first as a writer and media relations spokesperson, then in the Strategic Communications team. As Senior Director, she supervised the team responsible for communications surrounding investment activities, including business development, outreach and reputational risk activities, digital communications and various Public Affairs projects. In addition, she led the organization’s annual financial results disclosure exercise for many years, as well as contributed to the work that produced its branding. Before joining CDPQ, she was a consultant at public relations firm Hill & Knowlton, where she focused on crisis management and developing strategic positioning programs for clients in various sectors.
Ms. Bouchard holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from Université du Québec à Montréal.
CONNECTIONS
Ms. Bouchard is Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors of Compagnie Duceppe, a leader in Québec theatre. She was a member of the Board of Directors of Ivanhoé Cambridge until the operations of the real estate subsidiary were integrated within CDPQ in 2024. She also served for four years on the Board of Directors of La rue des Femmes, an organization that welcomes and cares for women in a state of homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless.
