La Caisse is pleased to announce that it has awarded two $10,000 bursaries to students from the École d’Entrepreneurship de Beauce (EEB). The RÉGION ÉLOIGNÉE DE LA BEAUCE (Beauce-remote region) bursary was awarded to Patrick Brassard of Passive-Action, a Montréal-based company specialized in the treatment of stainless steel and other alloys through the chemical process of passivation. The CRÉATION D’ENTREPRISE (business creation) bursary, which aims to recognize the founder of a company created at least five years prior, was awarded to Stéphanie Martimbault of Sentimed Medical Corporation, a Boucherville-based company that offers telemedicine, telemonitoring and remote medical assistance solutions.

“Through its extremely practical and stimulating training programs, the École d’Entrepreneurship de Beauce supports the development of a new generation of Québec entrepreneurs, the very entrepreneurs who will be instrumental in building the entrepreneurial Québec of tomorrow,” said Michel Lefebvre, Vice-President, Québec Business Development.

“The financial support offered by the Caisse contributes to the pursuit of our main objective, namely, developing our students’ skills to help them accelerate their company’s growth,” stated Nathaly Riverin, General Manager of the École d’Entrepreneurship de Beauce. “The Caisse is a key partner for the EEB. It has been present since the project was first created and for this we are very grateful.”
Since the bursary program was created in fall 2010, the Caisse has awarded six bursaries totaling over $105,000. Four bursaries are awarded annually; two in the fall session and two in the spring.
