The Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec announces the appointment of Denis Couture as Executive Vice-President, Public Affairs

The Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec today announced the appointment of Denis Couture as Executive Vice-President, Public Affairs, and member of the Executive Committee. His duties will include communications, government relations and public relations.

"Mr. Couture is a seasoned professional in the corporate and financial communications sector," said Michael Sabia, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Caisse. "He has spent many years with several major corporations in Québec and Canada operating in a wide range of industries. His solid experience in the international arena will undoubtedly be a plus for us. We are very happy to have him join the Caisse team."

During the course of his career, Mr. Couture has occupied a variety of senior executive positions. Up until last month, he was Senior Vice-President, Corporate and International Affairs, with Brookfield Asset Management. He was also responsible for communications and government relations at Domtar and responsible for external communications at Air Canada.

"I am delighted to have the privilege of working for an institution of the calibre of the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, especially at this point in its history as it has embarked on an extensive strategic refocusing initiative," said Mr. Couture.
