The Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec announces the appointment of Pierre Miron as Executive Vice-President, Operations and Information Technology

The Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec announced today the appointment of Pierre Miron as Executive Vice-President, Operations and Information Technology and member of the Executive Committee.

Pierre Miron will be responsible for continuing the significant repositioning work carried out over the past two years by the Operations and Information Technology teams. In this capacity, he will ensure that the group’s activities are consolidated to enhance the efficiency of the Caisse’s operational activities and to simplify its technological environment. He will also work to strengthen collaboration and pool together the different areas of expertise to better meet the challenges presented by the new global economic environment.

“Since arriving at the Caisse in February 2010, Pierre Miron has demonstrated great leadership, a consistent results-driven effort and solid teamwork to implement effective tools designed to meet the needs of the Caisse,” stated Michael Sabia, President and Chief Executive Officer. “His experience and knowledge, as well as his credibility and the trust he has built in various sectors at the Caisse, have made him a key player in the implementation of our strategies.”

Prior to joining the Caisse, Pierre Miron held various management positions with CGI Group. He was also held the positions of Senior Vice-President, Information Technology at National Bank Financial, and Senior Vice-President, Corporate Systems – Delivery Management at National Bank of Canada.
