David Petrie

David Petrie, Managing Director and Partner, Transformation, within CDPQ’s Real Estate portfolio. In this role, he is responsible for supporting the real estate team in strengthening investment governance, facilitating agile management tool deployment and building strategic partnerships. He sits on the Management Committee and real estate investment committees, as well as the Québec Private Equity Investment Committee.

Mr. Petrie joined CDPQ in 2010, and previously held the position of Vice-President, Public Companies and Relationship Investing for Quebec, overseeing the portfolio’s transactional activities and investment strategy. Prior to that, he was Managing Director, Québec Large Businesses. He has over 25 years of experience in corporate finance. Before joining the organization, he worked at BMO Capital, BDC and Edgestone Capital.

He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Business Administration from HEC Montréal and is a CFA Charterholder. He is a member of the Autorité des marchés financiers’s Corporate Finance Advisory Committee and sits on the Board of Directors of JEM Workshop, which has provided training and work for individuals with diverse abilities in order to reach their employment potential.
